Motion Graphics

I used Adobe Flash for 10+ years to create animations and interactive resources for learning and development products. Now that Flash is not supported by modern web browsers, I’ve found that Adobe Animate has a very similar set of capabilities but allows you to export your creations in formats that are fully supported on desktop and mobile browsers.

I also enjoy building my skillset in Adobe After Effects, which is how I created this simple logo animation. Check back often to see more motion graphics and animation projects.

This motion graphic was inspired by the images included in an series of Atlassian emails that I received after subscribing to a trial version of Jira. I like the clean style of the graphic, so I recreated it from scratch in Illustrator then animated the individual elements in After Effects. The repeating wiggle of the quote bubbles in controlled by an expression, which makes it super simple to make it repeat for the length of the animated GIF and to copy to other objects.
